Modicon Invented the PLC
The first programmable logic controller or PLC developed by Modicon debuted in 1968. A PLC is a digital computer located and used throughout an automated manufacturing facility. Modicon has since gone through several different owners over the years and now resides under the SchneiderElectric brand name. As a leader in the machinery life-cycle automation sector, ICR has extensive experience with PLCs. Our technicians possess over two decades of experience repairing, testing and selling the surplus inventory of the Modicon PLC brand. The most common are the brands line of Quantum and Compact PLCs.
PLCS of Modicon
If the need to scale is the primary concern, then Quantum PLCs and its modular architecture can fulfill a host of automation needs. The line is also easy to configure, which provides much-needed flexibility. ICR expertise extends to the 140 Quantum Series, which include all CM900 & CM1000. When low-cost is the driver within your PLC search, then Modicon’s compact controllers would be of interest. When the future environment for the PLC is less demanding, and performance requirements are not large, then small controllers are the way to go. Designed for conventional instruction the 984 series is essential in gaining user logic through development.
